Ron’s Hamburgers & Chili - Claremore, OK

Ron’s Hamburgers & Chili opened in 1975 as one man’s dream to own a restaurant. Since then, it has grown to nearly 20 locations throughout Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas, many of which are family-owned and operated. Open for lunch and dinner, Ron’s is famous for its wide variety of huge burgers and award-winning chili.

The menu includes Ron's signature blend of chili, as well as a savory seasoning salt that tops every appetizer. The sausage cheeseburger – a third-pound burger made half with ground beef and half with Owens pork sausage – is tasty enough, but when you top it with roasted green chiles and American cheese, you’ve got a culinary combination that tantalizes the taste buds like never before. Order it with a side of Spanish okra – prepared with onions and jalapenos – and you begin to understand why Ron’s remains a local favorite in Claremore.

An appreciation for home-cooked food led Ron Baber to shift gears from his manufacturing industry career and open the first Ron’s Hamburgers and Chili in Oklahoma. Over the past 40 years, Baber’s friends and family members have opened a total of 19 other Ron’s Hamburgers and Chili restaurants throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas.

Ron's Hamburgers and Chili offer a casual, seat-yourself cafe atmosphere and real draft root beer (no alcoholic beverages) which makes this a great lunch or dinner spot for people on the go.

Classic Menu

Ron's hamburgers are prepared daily from fresh superior-quality beef. Fries are cut daily from fresh potatoes and fried high-quality vegetable oil (No Trans Fat, No Cholesterol). Chilis are made daily from scratch using famous Ron's recipe. They offer a wide range of burgers, along with Ron's famous chili and other sandwiches. The most popular burger is Ron's Special, a 1/3-pounder loaded up with ham, bacon, fried onions, and more.

Ron’s chili is a classic. It’s the kind of chili that’s just as good over Fritos or spaghetti as it is plain. This is a smooth chili with a traditional red appearance. True story: A friend of ours (and a TulsaPeople reader) once bought a few quarts of Ron’s chili and entered it in her church’s chili competition.

Several of Ron’s locations are family-owned and operated, and others are franchises. Find burgers, sandwiches, and, of course, chili.
