Rock Creek Golf Course on Historic Route 66 - Sapulpa, OK

Sapulpa municipal golf course was rebranded in October 2020 to its new name Rock Creek Golf Course on Historic Route 66. A long effort to rebrand the municipal golf course in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, recently bore fruit when city officials officially renamed it Rock Creek Golf Course on Historic Route 66.

The former Charles C. Hamilton Sapulpa Municipal Golf Course sits along Oklahoma Route 66 (aka old Route 66) on Sapulpa’s west side, near the historic Rock Creek Bridge.

This change was the hard work of many individuals, in efforts to make the course the very best it has been, since opening the doors in 1981. The rebrand was the start of a very exciting overhaul consisting of a new experience, new tee markers and flags, and an expanded driving range. Best of all, a new irrigation system will be installed in late 2021. The course is run by the Director of Golf David McBride with Superintendent Jerry Hughes who maintains the grounds.

This 18 hole course is a very fun and challenging course with a course rating of 72.4 and a slope rating of 128. It features 6,675 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course was redesigned in 1995 by slack and Hayes in 1995. The Rock Creek golf course opened in 1981. David McBride manages the course as the Golf Manager.

Tee Times

Weekdays, first come, first serve. Weekends, one week in advance.  Call 918-227-0237 to request a tee time for the weekend.  Starting Saturday, requests for the following Saturday and Sunday can be made.

Men's Golf Association

The Sapulpa Golf Course (SGC) 'Men's Golf Association' holds local golf tournaments from the months of February thru November.  SGC offers several different tournament formats throughout the year.  Anything from individual gross and net tournaments to 2 or 3 man team events.  SGC also holds a 4 Man Senior Scrambles every Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Lady's Golf Association

Sapulpa Golf Course (SGC) Lady's Golf Association has a league that plays every Tuesday evening.  The league starts around April 1.  The Club Championship is held around the end of September.

This is not a private membership course, it’s a public one and it’s a great price for what you get. The staff is friendly, and the customers are great. You will have a lot of fun playing here and have made some great friends.
